A Passing Glance
Eyes of hazel stare deep into the soul,
Eternally pure with the glint of care.
Soft becomes the victim so soon after,
So succumbing of her heart-warming glare.
Eyes and smile of a goddess,
Never before known to man,
Sings softly a tune to the soul of mortals.
A melody of sweet serenity,
An image forever scarred, Forever etched,
Captivated is her visage,
Lost in the bountiful pools of beauty.
Weak knees are a curse to accompany.
As the glare ends and the smile fades,
She turns away and the feeling dies,
But the bliss stays forever,
Her curse burned upon me forever.
