The Day I Missed You
Flowers in full bloom
Oh, how they remind me of you
 Birds singing a heartbroken tune
They just make me miss you
 Kids playing in the park
Yet the sky is getting dark
Spring, a time for colorful days
But all the colors have faded away
Sun shining down in a smile
But the light is just vile
 The sweet cheers from children
Seems to leave my heart broken
They all seem so happy this way
 I miss you everyday
 A thousands moments to smile
Maybe my heart will heal in awhile
 A million reasons to rejoice
But I only hear your voice
It’s the first day of my life
  I don’t need this strife
A moment to swallow all pride
One year from the day you died
The sky is the perfect shade of blue
Everything just reminds me of you
I breathe the clear, light spring air
 But you’ll always be there
Everything is screaming what is true
This was the day I missed you
