From Ford to Nixon on Tainting Water
Curled her hair by curling iron
And smoothed on some blue rouge
Honest eyes; two pine green pools
And Broadway legs
Just as honest.
He cleaned her up good
Tepid water
Threw her down on his mattress
A bed of dollar bills
You'd think it smooth, but it was rigid
At least since '76
Unabashed they tangoed naked
In a white house, in a white room
On a single, barren, white-skinned canvas
Breasts hit his skin
Like slick red paint
Yes, Nixon raped America
And I gave the gift of pardon,
"Hey, Ford, thanks.”
Said Nixon.
And I said,
“Kudos”
