Pendulum
The hours slowly fade,
Today just will not pass.
It's torture, how I'm stuck in here,
With no exciting task.
The night has still not come yet,
So I sit here in this room.
To ascend the stairs would be agony,
For at the top of them you loom.
Another day that will not end,
Is all that is holding me back.
I fight with time for a long while,
And wait for the sky to turn black.
When nighttime comes, I'll be relieved,
'Cause that's all I stayed up for today.
Then I'll frown and lay down once again;
I'll see the new dawn approach far away.
