Starry Night
The cool air blows across my face
Relaxing my tense muscles
I come again to my think place
High above me the leaves rustle
I lie down on the cool grass and close my eyes
Fill my lungs with crisp air
A thought of you fills me with butterflies
Nights like this are rare
Usually the grass is wet and clouds block out the sky
But tonight the grass is my bed and the stars are bright
I look up into the night, watching as clouds pass by
In this darkness, the stars are my only light
It's getting late now, so i guess i should go
Tonight was my peace but my dreams will bring my fear
The late birds chirp on and the night continues to flow
The Hawaiian starry night brings back memories of all i hold dear
