In Dreams I Dream
I dream of a better world
Where spring washes the winter drear
And the trees shake out their verdant hair
And light dries up the earthly floor
Where rain had fallen the night before
And dew on vines like pearls on string
Crowns each morning a newborn king
And the tears too often too soon
Are kissed good night by the opal moon
And the dreams that are dreamed of
Are fulfilled like a hand into glove
 And troubles which never pass
Disappear like the wind through grass
And the clouds in the aeolian sea
Will see beneath them a world fresh and free
Of this world in dreams I dream
