Birds chrip softly
Birds chrip softly,
the wind stirs the grassy hilside,
the best of days, for the sun keeps, and the clouds weep,
A soft strum carried by wind, echoes from around the bend,
Where a single oak lies, giving shade to all that shoud pass,
A benevolent heart, all trees have.
Under the shade of the tree,
the two lovers destined to meet.
One strums again on his guitar,
Echoing to all that should listen,
slowly fading into silence.
Clouds may take and clouds may give,
But today on the best of days, the clouds give.
As rain starts to fall, the tree gives shelter,
As trees have benevolent hearts.
