My Hometown
Like a grandmother,
She sits there,
Watching time pass by
And watching her family grow.
Always giving people a hand,
When they need her advice.
Always forgiving them,
When they need her to.
Leading them in the right direction,
Guiding them to there destination.
Protecting the weak,
Comforting the upset,
Calming the vicious,
Loving the unwanted,
Unselfishly, caring
For everyone but herself
Old and weak,
She falls apart.
Only to be fixed again,
So she can continue
Doing what she enjoys most.
Taking care of her children,
Her family, her friends.
Watching over them,
Day and night.
They need not worry,
For she will be there for them,
For always and forever
