A Cowards Grave
One drink washes away the pain that memory brings
Two washes away my worries
Three destroys the thoughts that hurt me
Four cleanses the hate I have for the world
Deeper, Deeper the drink digs my grave
Deeper into the abyss
Deeper into the bottle
Five
Six
Seven ensure my slow demise
But never can I erase the shame
No drink can serve my penance for me
My guilt immeasurable
Oh the burden it is to survive in a world where others parish
This is my fate my punishment for a crime untold
For an unknown length
A just Jury would rather the death penalty
Then a sentence so cruel as to survive
My will, will be a few words at best simply stating Buy me a cowards grave and let my children have the rest.
