Look at the boy on the corner
he really is not a mourner
he keeps his head held high
even when you think he will cry
he has had a tough past
hopefully all the good memories have last
or I don't know where he would be
he has nobody you see
his mom is in the ground
and his dad is nowhere to be found
so he fends for himself
even if he has to steal from a shelf
if he is offered a home
he will be gone like a broken garden gnome
I've offered to help
but I didn't even get a yelp
if only if he got some love
he would be so far above
if we where half as tough
that wouldn't even be enough
because there is a very long distance
even if you have amazing persistance
so if you think you can't get anything done
just remember this one
