When You Were Four
Remember when you were four?
When the bright yellow sun seemed to jump
Out of boxes of crayons and
The world seemed restrained to
Your side of the street
Remember when monsters
Still hid in the dark and
A shoebox zoomed through space
The galaxy running through your fingers
On superman sheets
Remember when all issues just disappeared
In a hug and a tear rolling down your cheek
Was just a toy broken or a lost game of
Kickball but still slipping away
Riding along with the drop
Down your cheek
On the ground
Forgotten
Moving on
Always moving on.
