Loveliness is You
She ran to the river
Waded in to her knees and started to shiver
Tears ran fully down that baby face
She didn't realize she had a better place
Her crystal blue eyes streamed to a fog
As she broke into a jog
The water licked at her neck now
She wanted to sink all the way but didn't know how
"Please don't," said a soft voice.
"Do you realize how important you are?
God made you by hand to be a star.
Haven't you discovered those special talents
The ones he wove throughout your blueprints?
You have such a wonderful life ahead of you
And a boy who'll love you immensly, too.
You're worth more than precious stones
Loveliness is traced to the center of your bones
Hold on, love, you'll have your time soon.
Please, just hum a happy tune
 Remember how important you are
And that you're a perfect star."
