I saw it coming.
I had to.
You were leaving
But the pain still feels new
Why do you have this effect on me?
It’s been three years
Since you I have seen
And yet, falling tears
still come. You don't care.
You probably never have.
This is my secret burden to bear
All I can remember is hearing your laugh
Your beautiful face, I can't quite grasp
As I walk around every day
With this happy mask
I want to see you once more to say
"I miss you, I love you."
Don't go away.

I really like the words you used for the rhyming schemes. Particularly "All I can remember is hearing you laugh, Your beautiful face, I can't quite grasp" Even though they don't rhyme like "here and "there". It still gives my mind the illusion that you did. It had rhythm. Enjoyed it lots

Beautiful. Sad, but beautiful. Packed with emotion and rhyming, rhythmic lines, this perfectly describes a painful break-up.
