“Imaginary”

Close my eyes,
Time ticks by,
Enter a world where only my dreams may lie.
Where innocence never dies and emotions collide,
Please take me away to the far recesses of my mind.
So I’ll watch as my life fades to black,
As do my worries, fears, and regrets,
And though some may say I’m wasting away,
They do not know of the colors that come to life,
Both in my heart and in my mind…
Open my eyes,
Time ticks by,
Today is the farthest thing from my mind,
So I’ll allow my dreams to carry me home,
To the world I’ve always known…
