Black Swan with a Ruby Beak

She left a body that was rattled and meek,
and returned to her lover a black swan with a ruby beak.
But he shooed her away through a screaming weep,
not believing at all it was real.
The took the poison to go to sleep
and gave his life for the night to steal.
Now the lady sings on the frozen lake,
eating white roses and letting tears leak,
for she had sold her soul for her lover's sake,
and return a black swan with a ruby beak.
