Good Times
A warm hug,
Soothing words,
A kind face.
Some things I remember
Of my grandfather.
His passing gave me a
New look at life . . .
It’s not always here –
Enjoy it!
Every Sunday he would come,
Cooking breakfast for the family.
I Remember the warm house
And the delicious smell of the food . . .
Eggs,
Bacon,
Hash browns,
Pancakes.
I remember smiling at him -
He smiled back…
Then, his false teeth popped out.
He just sucked them back in and laughed.
Good times . . .
I was eight,
And he was gone.
