A Dream?
A Dream?
A harp? I dared to wonder.
Sitting upon a rock, it cast its shadow,
Yet even in the moonlight,
I could see it.
With every note it played,
A ripple upon the water…
Along side the water,
It played a song,
Yet no fingers touch the strings.
Even the wolf’s howl in the distance
only adds to the harmony.
I must go back,
But I love it here,
So new, so real.
If this is a dream, I wonder,
Let me stay a while longer.
Even as the harp plays on,
I ask, “Let this be real.”
I awake to the sound of birds in the trees.
