Poetry
Poetry doesn’t come in bits and pieces -
It crashes on you all at once.
You don’t need a talent to write,
Just the beauty within you.
Poetry isn’t a difficult project,
Because the best comes from
life’s littlest pleasures:
A dream you just had,
Good or bad,
Flowing through your pencil…
A thought, tingling in the back of your mind…
Confused ideas, mingling their way to the paper.
Poetry shows what you’re feeling
Then, now, and tomorrow.
It’s the way you view your world,
And nobody else’s -
The troubles you’ve had,
The triumphs you’ve achieved.
It doesn’t matter,
It’s your work,
It’s beautiful.
