The Red Beast

No one but us,
I stand starring at the target afar
The possessed being
One foot off the ground
The red beast,
Twice tried once failed
The beast cackled at the sight of my attempt…
I leaped off the ground…
Thunder echoed the mid afternoon sky
A forever had passed…
The wheel caught on edge…
I lay on the ground,
My wrist in two
Devoured by my own failure, I faint
The beast roared its roar…
…He had won…
…And I had lost…
