"Yes: I am a dreamer. For a dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world."
— Oscar Wilde (The Critic as Artist)

Sometimes I see poverty
In the wealthiest of homes
Sometimes I see loneliness
In people who've never been alone

Sometimes I see sorrow
in the most joyous of men
Sometimes I see a teenage mother
In a girl who four years ago was ten

Sometimes I see homelessness
In the family with the largest house
Sometimes i see a divorcee
In someone who for ten years has been a spouse

Say what you will of me
Gossip how you may
But my view of the world is impaired
By my fear that this will be
what everyone sees someday

Sometimes I look at the world and just see corruption. It's a little scary to think that this is the world that I am going to live in and that my children will grow up in one day.

I write entirely to find out what I'm thinking, what I'm looking at, what I see and what it means. What I want and what I fear.

Interesting view. Great poem. Short, simple and to the point. Great work!
