Regret
Darkness all around
No one around who makes any sound but me
The only thing I hear are the boots that are on my feet
Clashing with the wet ground they meet
I’m trying to run by my bags are to heavy
Questioning myself with every breath I force myself to take
“Why can’t I just look back” I wince
Come to face everything I have, and everything I have made myself believe I lack
The voices inside of me scream
But nothing stops me.
The two teams: (who both fight for a say in my life)
One is red
One is blue
But only one really cares about me,
Put your hand down
Roll the window up
Throw away the cup
Close your mouth and open your eyes!
Make the choice to throw away that awful disguise
I end up stopped in front of a dead end sign, with a choice to make, these bags to carry, and a note to say…. Goodbye
