Hallway
As I took a glimpse at him flat against the wall
His heart was banging as he walked through the hallway
As he cried he lowered himself to the ground and looked at the kids bug-eyed, as if they were monsters
They had thrown streaks of green slim at him making a “woosh” he took another step forward into the hallway
He looks around as if they’re monsters speaking to him
I tried to make him feel better but he turned his face and just looked at me
Then took another step into the dark hallway
