Essence.
Essence.
A drop here
A drop there
Watch the way it flows.
Thick and thin
Heavy and light
Such a beautiful color.
Dark and rich yet
Light and weak. Both red, both maroon,
Both blood.
Blood is life. Keeps you alive
Blood is death. When it goes, you follow.
When you see it, when you watch it
Flow down; staining your skin, do you see life?
Do you see death? Are you scared?
Was He scared?
When He saw His blood? Trickling from His hands. His side, His feet, His head?
Possibly.
Possibly not.
His blood was life and death.
Life for us.
Death for Him.
Hope for all.
