‘Cause She Loves Me

She nags me to do my homework
and to actually pay attention in school
pulls me out of bed at the crack of dawn
not realizing that weekends are for rest
and proceeds to drag me to church
on Tuesday makes me take out the dreaded garbage
always asking me a million question
"Where are you?" "Who are you with?"
And my favorite, "Are you BEHAVING?"
The yelling and arguing never stop
If I leave a project at home she’s at school with it,
Even before I call
Guides me to become a honest person
She does everything because she truly cares
I love my mom
