Balance

My flute
My purse
With everything but the major
appliances inside.
Quickly search my back
pocket for my ID.
Grasp that cold black
clutch with two fingers
hold the ID card with
the other hand
using it as a lever.
I pry open my locker
change out my books.
Leave whistling
Like nothing happened at all.
