Nothing is better than the feeling on stage
When I feel like a song bird stuck in a cage
I make the grade.
I hold your breath in my palm.
I am gone.
Singing the words i could never say
Playing out a forlorn tale on stage
I score the silence.
I tread on the keys.
I am gone.
When there's blues in my closet and sickness at my door
Lay me under the bright lights: I'll feel them no more
I'm a city that doesn't sleep.
I go beyond the written line.
I am gone.
