My Sun
I wake up every morning
And fell the sun shine down
But I never really noticed
The gloom that’s all around
Until the very day
They took my sun away
Now all I see is darkness
Now all I feel is pain
Moved out is the sunshine
Moved in is the rain
Ever since the very day
They took my sun away
Then one day I saw hope
In the sea of despair
They very something
That now is very rare
Since the very day
They took my sun away
I didn’t recognize this hope
‘Cause I never needed it before
Because all my days were bright
From sunshine evermore
That ended the very day
That they took my sun away
Hope came to me
And persuaded me to follow
So off I went with it
Though my heart was still hollow
All because of the very day
That they took my sun away
I blindly went with it
‘Til we got where we were going
And I was really shocked
When I saw the sunshine glowing
I haven’t seen this since the day
They took my precious sun away
Now my days are sunny
And oh so very bright
And I appreciate my sun
And thank it for the light
Because of that day
I thought they took my sun away
