And the Rain Goes Passing By
The rain comes falling down
Down, down, down, all around
Covering my face with tears from the sky
As I watch the rain go passing by
I run through the soggy grass
And see the world through flowing glass
And as I wave the sunny day goodbye
I watch the rain go passing by
The droplets prick on my skin
I feel my face break into a grin
My whole world is on standby
And yet the rain goes passing by
A butterfly breaks the trance
Fluttering in a joyful dance
I follow the dance of the butterfly
And around the rain goes passing by
So still the rain is flowing down
Happiness also flowing around
My world is flashing in the sky
As I look up and see the rain pass by
