The She

She doesn't mean to whisper;
her voice is naturally soft.
She was born frightened of the things she can't live up to,
she spends her life chasing things she can't reach.
She knows she's not the most beautiful person around
and even if she were--- the man of her dreams would still be looking at someone else.
she was programmed with insecurities in her genes
She is forever reprimanded for her imperfections
She only wishes
only prays
for a He to root her drifting self to the ground.
