I'd Give Anything
Things in life are just so hard, no one understands.
You think, why did it have to end up like this?
It seems like all of your problems in life
Bring to you so much pain and strife.
Divorce, for example, what is the purpose?
NO one seems to see how much pain it brings to surface.
To have a child, or maybe two,
No one would've guessed, no one knew
That they would split up,
When their child was five months old.
Now I try to keep the pain to myself, but it's hard.
Living in this place, this town, this world,
Why does it have to be like this?
Why can't my life be filled with joy and bliss?
Is this the way things will always be?
Or will they go back to the way they used to be?
Do they not understand that I would give anything
Just for one Christmas, one day, one night,
With both of my parents in my sight,
At the same time, and with no fights,
I would give anything for one day, one night.
