THE BEACH
I lie there in the sand
Taking in the afternoon sun
And the sound of
Waves crashing on the shore
Hundreds of people
Everywhere you look
Seagulls screeching
Flying
in search of their next meal
Children building sand castles
Screaming of excitement
Music from cars
Parked along the beach
Groups of people playing volleyball and football
Along the miles of sand
People yelling
Noise everywhere
And yet
I somehow find this hectic place relaxing
