Umbrella
As I sat on the beach one day,
I thought of what had happened.
I didn't bring sun tan lotion,
But I did bring an umbrella.
As I was opening it,
About to plant it in the ground,
I waited and wondered,
"What would happen if I did?"
Don't you remember when you put yours up
It almost ruined what we had.
An umbrella hides you from the sun,
But I decided to face the truth.
So, I got burnt that day,
But, I brought the umbrella down.
Because a little damage,
Is better than destruction.
