The current wraps around and takes hold
Swallowing you in bit by bit
Your body is engulfed
You're floating underneath
When all you need
Is to hold your breath

This isn't the end
You have a whole new world to explore!
Yet you sit and wait
Waiting for your breath to stop
For your body to be eaten or decay
You aren't alone
Other bodies are drowning with you
They're waiting for the same thing
For the unmistakable depths of death to near
The light isn't above nor under
It's in you!
Waiting for your choice
It won't budge unless you're really willing
your mind fuzzes over
You still have a choice
It's your life
Not the water's victim
You are you
A couple of bodies are drifting away now
But not away
Not anywhere!
Do you want to be them?
Thrashing about in the waves
Until all hope is lost?
No!
You want to move on
Be somebody worth talking to for once
But you don't
If you want something done
Start swimming to the surface
Out of that sea of bodies
To where the real place to be is
If you don't do it,
