Scrap Mettle
In the streets of my heighborhood
Live two collectors of metal
Only they don't collect Gold
They raid dumpsters out of mettle
They walk around with a shopping cart
In search of their precious metals
And what they cherish will scare you
but to them they are Lily Petals
They should really be admired
the way they find Beauty in the Forgotten
But to the world they are junkies
scrapmetalheads collecting metal
and to society a mere mettle
never having a place to settle.
