Favorite Quote:
"How do you feel? That is the question, but I forget you don't expect an easy answer. When something like a soul becomes initialized and folded up like paper dolls and little notes you can't expect a bit of hope..."
-Stone Sour "Through the Glass"

If hope is what you want,
you'll never find it here.
All hope here is dead and gone.
I'm only left with fear.

Fleeting images.

A floating mirage.

I can't see past the pain.
I reach for what looks like release,
but reach out only to refrain.

Distortion of what I need,
lost deep inside my mind.
I want to reach for life again,
but I am only left behind.

I once had so much to hold onto,
but now I've only got myself.
I'll hold onto me.
I'll squeeze myself to death.

The author's comments:
I wrote this because I was stuck in a place, mentally and emotionally, where I didn't want to be. I was fighting to find something that made me happy. Eventually I realized that I can only rely on myself at times.
