Simple You
Wake up in the morning
Smell the fresh air
I’d think my day was perfect
Then realize you’re not there
I should just stop thinking
That my wish would come true
My one and only wish
That I made for simple you
Take a walk on the beach
Feeling the ocean
Then gaze at the horizon
Without a single motion
Step through the forest
And stop to think
That my own little boat
Is beginning to sink
Now go back home
My day is through
Another day I spent thinking
About simple you.
