Our Voices

Our voices in the government have been suffocated,
And those care packages are a little too belates.
The government says our country is thriving,
But still, to see the light we are striving.
Our minds are drowned in war and hate,
We think we need money to be great.
Where once stood the beautiful earth,
There is now a hotel, and this is mirth?
And designers tell us how we have to be,
Because we don't have the eyes to see.
When an animal dies we say,"There'll be more!"
But we're the ones killing them down to the core.
We chop down a tree and don't regret,
Instead it's our popularity that's making us fret.
If we understand what the designers' say,
Why don't we understand the conservative way?
