Going to Granddad’s,
Playing with him.
Eating a whole can of canned corn.
Forget about the cookies,
I want corn!
Watching a football game,
Just watching the pictures move.
How do you know what football is at age 6?
When dad and I leave the magic is gone.
Later you are calling your own ambulance.
Letting them know you weren’t going to be around for long.
I understand know why you left,
You were miserable, and felt you had no more reason to live.
And I know you are watching over me,
