I lay awake looking into dark space
I lay awake looking into dark space.
Worrying of tomorrow and whats to come.
And whats to be done.
I let my fears take captive my soul.
I stand with my peers never letting them know who's in here.
Never letting anyone deep inside.
I always feel the need to hide.
That way I can never be criticized.
I want people to know who I really am inside.
I want to laugh,I want to cry.
I want to have joy,I want to have love.
I want to speak to God above.
I want my soul to defeat its fears.
And I want to stand up to my peers.
Sometimes life is an endless battle.
Sometimes life is a victorious travel.
