“Bring Me An Angel
As she lays on her bed,
She thinks of what lies ahead.
Her eyes wander to the window,
And she sees the tree’s foreboding shadow.
Every night she’s waiting for something that’s diverting,
Something that takes away her constant hurting.
As usual in the dark midnight sky,
Airplanes pass on by.
But today she sees hope, and in aghast,
She stares as a shooting star soars past.
Thinking fast she makes a wish,
And she prays that it will not diminish.
“Bring me an angel,
That can get me out of life’s tangle.”
