When Boys had cooties
love was the stuffed animal you slept with every night
only thing he could break was a toy
the worst pain was a sraped knee
war was a card game
enemies were siblings
hugs and kisses made everything better
fear was the dark
daddy was superman
when you believed in fairytales
and when you couldnt reach mommy got it for you
remember this moment
dancing in circles
magic and pretending
looking and wondering
that little girls pain was no teddy bear
lying in bed with a small teddy bear
would she be disapointed in me now?
