I Remember
Before you were gone I imagined the way it'd feel,
But it's all so different when I know it's real.
You feel so close, yet you've gone so far.
I remember your blue eyes twinkling like a shining star.
I know I can't see you, but I have memories.
I feel you're presense like wind through the trees.
I remember each moment, each time, each day.
I remember all of the things that you used to say.
Though only in ways you and I would understand,
I see you in everything; every single grain of sand.
We had so many good times in sun, rain , and snow,
But that all has to end now, as I sadly know.
