This Road I Walk

I walk the dark road,
of death and despair.
The scent of the lifeless
floats through the air.
This road leads to nothing,
but an endless life.
So put down the gun
and put away the knife.
Death shall not come
to us my friend
we do not deserve it
our lives will not end.
God doesn't like it
when we steal his work
and we tried to take it
with no remorse, just a grim smirk
so there is a lesson
for those who live
don't steal his work
and death God will give.
