I'll Be what you lack
I am who I am,
You can't change me,
I live for myself,
But give to thee.
I sing to the world,
A song of delight,
But you take in the notes,
and lock them up tight.
You strangle my love,
For feelings of joy,
Not realizing at all,
I'm not just a toy.
I'm a person so true,
With love and a heart,
But you only see grey,
Which you've seen from the start.
It's sad you're so blind,
Lost to the world,
That you can't see me,
Through the lies that you've twirled.
It's sad but still true,
You can't take it back,
Your meaning is there,
It's free to attack.
Though you want to be free,
Away from this truth,
You can't get away,
Your body wont move.
It's life that's betrayed you,
Not your mind nor soul,
You can still love me,
Your heart is still full.
Just reach out to me,
Just take my soft hand,
I'm willing to help you,
I will be your man.
But promise me one thing,
That you wont look back,
Just promise me this,
And I'll be what you lack.
