Song of the Orange Moon
I sing of the day of the orange moon
that reflected in the lake
and seemed to stop time;
for a second the world was pure beauty
and my worries were gone.
I sing of the peaceful bike ride we had
around the beautiful lake,
the laughter we shared
and the smiles we spread
that day at the lake.
With a peaceful sorrow
the sun went down
its warm rays now hidden,
its song quieted until sunrise tomorrow.
I sing of that moon
that ended our day;
the moon with the orange glow,
the moon with such a breathtaking song.
With a night that softly caressed the day goodbye
as that orange moon sang its song;
the song that reflected in the lake and ended our day.
