Black trotting feet
Run on the ground
Strait for our house
Strait for her home
She scratches the door
And laughs at the feet that come
Clicking towards her
She came with the basket
That came with Dorothy
“Follow the yellow brick road”
Was her theme
All pretty and black
Oh how we miss her
Oh how we loved her
Now she lies deep in dirt
In her sweet little doggie place
We claim peaceful sighs
And claim we miss her
So why did go out and leave us?
We loved you so much
