Arrival of a New Year
2008 has arrived,
as our seasoned memories of the years past, slowly fade away,
one by one, we forget the fun that we had, the promises that we made, the love that we shared.
But, with the arrival of a new year comes neoteric memories.
New resolutions are made,
resolutions to improve our physical appearance or maybe our intellect.
Whatever it may be, we will achieve them, or will we forget about them in a day or two?
But then again, all that matters is that our slates are once again clean,
once again ready to be sullied by our many hopes and dreams.
Whether it’s to stop drinking, smoking, or maybe to get married, to find love.
Whatever the case, we will succeed,
…hopefully.
