Sarcasm is one of the many things i offer

Something so peaceful
Tranquil
Restrained
Crowded yet open
Chaos securely contained
Something about this place
So pure
Unswayed
Yet corrupted, a thin rope
The edges frayed
Something so clear
Illusory
Fake
The calm that's outside
The chaos will unmake
Torn from the inside
Shredded
Blemished
Imaginary illusion gone
Faded and perished
What's left is cursed
Detested
Infernal
The conflict left scars
Rendered land infertile
Eternally corrupted
Sparse
Forlorn
Something so sacred
Now is worn
Shadowed and wilted
Darkened, decayed
Does something so sacred
Ever stay the same?

The author's comments:
I tried to write something about how calm and peaceful this place is near my house. The sun coming through the canopy of the trees making it seem warm and welcoming. Everything around me green. But it turned out to read about that very place as something that would be corrupted. It speaks of how something can seem like it is a good thing but not everything is as it seems and even the most sacred of places gets corrupted.
