Sacred Corruption
Something so peaceful
Tranquil
Restrained
Crowded yet open
Chaos securely contained
Something about this place
So pure
Unswayed
Yet corrupted, a thin rope
The edges frayed
Something so clear
Illusory
Fake
The calm that's outside
The chaos will unmake
Torn from the inside
Shredded
Blemished
Imaginary illusion gone
Faded and perished
What's left is cursed
Detested
Infernal
The conflict left scars
Rendered land infertile
Eternally corrupted
Sparse
Forlorn
Something so sacred
Now is worn
Shadowed and wilted
Darkened, decayed
Does something so sacred
Ever stay the same?
