Summer in Paradise
In the middle of nowhere,
Houses spread apart
Water surrounds the area
Golf courses galore
Misquotes buzz through the misty air
As friends gather to celebrate
Summer birthdays
Dinners on the beach
Capture the flag at the club
Sailing at the Yacht Club
Awkward dances
Cousins arriving
Summer comes and goes
The grass gets longer
Beaches are empty
People leave
Friends go back to school
Cousins come and go
The life that was once called paradise is left behind
Until next summer when the process starts all over again
Only three and half hours away
Paradise is born year after year
