Speak Out of Strike Out:: A Poem About Choices

strike out, run off, like caution despises
a frame of mind wich your spirit disguises
lives disguraded, baracaded by fear
connections unforged castaway by those near
self pity mingles with the pit of disgust
why would you leap without assurance of trust?
future retracted, the motives lay dead
dreams plummet sharply with the snap of one thread
prevention won't come in winds swift or strong
the journey will stab, the road will be long
eliminate feelings of unbridled doubt
have faith for once, and simply speak out.
